Onboard Video: Pagani Zonda F Clubsport Sets Nurburgring Lap Record

Grab a cup of coffee, sit tight and enjoy the Pagani Zonda F Clubsport breaking the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record, previously held by the Porsche Carrera GT. Driven by Nordschleife expert Marc Basseng, the Zonda F Clubsport managed to complete the 12.9-mile lap in just 7:27.82, eclipsing the Porsche’s unofficial record by two-tenths of a second. The Zonda F Clubsport is powered by a 7.3-litre AMG Mercedes V12 engine producing 641bhp, and it weighs just 1,230kg or 2,711 lbs. Pagani claims a 0-62mph (100 km/h) time of 3.6 sec and a top speed of 345 km/h or 215mph. -Thanks for the tip Kathy!

Video: Dodge Demon Concept Test Drive by Motortrend

A lot of things have changed at the Chrysler Group since Dodge took the wraps off the RWD Demon Concept at the 2007 Geneva Show back in March, but we can’t help believing that this roadster should somehow find its way into production. If anything, a car like this will help boost Dodge’s image in overseas markets like Europe (and we’ll have one more rear-wheel drive vehicle to choose from!).

Nuts! Subaru WRX STI-Powered ATV Video

Ok, it’s one thing looking at pictures of Ken Brough’s awesome hand-built ATV (
or Quad-Bike) that’s powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from a Subaru Impreza WRX STi but seeing and hearing it in live action, is something else. Once you’re finished watching the video (don’t be shy, do it more than once, we did) you can click here and read the story behind this invigorating Quad.

Video: Ford Mustang Bullitt Test Drive With Burnout

During the media presentation of the all-new 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt (click here for details and pictures), the guys at Popular Mechanic took the limited edition 315Hp Mustang for a first drive that included a couple of burnouts to see if the car was up to it. While they were at it, they also talked to the Chief Engineer of the Mustang, Paul Randel. You can check out the video right after the jump. -Continued

Video: Subaru G4e EV Concept

Subaru’s electric-powered mini concept made its debut at the Tokyo Show a couple of weeks ago (click here for images). The concept, which could potentially lead to a production version in the near future, is equipped with a high-performance lithium-ion battery that can be fully charged in less than 8 hours, allowing the G4e to travel a distance of around 200 km - 124 miles.

2009 Hyundai Sonata Transform Ad - Cool!

We’ve seen plenty of car ads showing vehicles transforming into robots but we can’t remember ever seeing a car model transforming into its successor –even if it is just a facelift. We really liked Hyundai’s Korean TV ad for the facelifted Sonata (see the leaked images here), as it's innovative and up to the point at the same time. Hopefully we’ll see it coming around these shores too.

Video: Top Gear Checks Out The Lamborghini Reventon

Top Gear’s hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond spend some time (1.41 min to be exact) in this clip talking about the $1.5 million Lamborghini Reventon (pics and details here). A little bit of British humor, but unfortunately, no thrills here boyz. To be produced in just 20 examples, the Murcielago LP640 based Reventon comes equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 unit delivering 650 Hp. -Video after the jump

Subaru Exiga Concept Video

Unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Show a couple of weeks ago, the Exiga is a mid-size, station-wagon-like concept that’s powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter boxer engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission (see images here). Hard to say whether the Exiga concept previews the future Legacy Station Wagon or the next-generation Forester.

Lamborghini Reventon Test Drive by Popular Science

In all honesty, when a friend pointed out this video, we were not only convinced that it was a hoax, but a badly edited one too. However, before we made a fool of ourselves, we checked it out repeatedly comparing still images of the interior with the Lamborghini Reventon pictures (click here). To our surprise, we didn’t find any flaws or details supporting that what we were seeing here wasn’t the Reventon.

But seriously now; a big magazine like Popular Science gets the chance to drive an extremely rare (20 examples) and expensive ($1.5 million) supercar like the Lamborghini Reventon and this is what they come up with – an amateur taped and edited video that most people think it’s fake? Think it’s time we started asking for test drives here at Carscoop

Honda CR-Z Hybrid Concept From The Tokyo Show

In our opinion, the Honda CR-Z concept (click here) was one of the most important cars that made their debut at the 2007 Tokyo Show last month. The reason is that, not only is the CR-Z Coupe heading for production, but it will also be equipped with a hybrid powertrain. You may not completely agree with Honda’s styling choices, but to us, a mainstream compact coupe with a hybrid powertrain sounds like a recipe made for success.

Unbelievable Highway Accident In Croatia

We’ve seen some pretty weird accidents here at Carscoop, but this one -even though some might question its authenticity, is totally mind-blowing. Take a good look at the speeding black BMW (most probably new 7-Series) on the left as soon as it hits the corner of the white car that entered the left-lane. After the impact the white vehicle hits the protective wall and tumbles across the highway literally “chasing” the black bimmer. Miraculously, from what we see, the BMW driver managed to avoid any contact with the tumbling white car. You can follow the jump for a clearer version of the video. -Continued

Video: More Ferrari F430 Scuderia Test Driving

We can’t seem to get enough of the new F430 Scuderia and thank God, there’s plenty of media material circulating around the net these days. In this video, the guys at American car magazine Road & Track put Ferrari Formula One test driver Marc Gene in the driver’s seat and let him take advantage of the sexy Italian supercar. Also, don't neglect to check out our humongous F430 Scuderia wallpaper gallery by clicking here. -Video after the jump

Video: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi

Here’s the first official video of the 2008 Impreza WRX STi that was revealed at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show in mid-October (see pics here). The car viewed here is the Japanese market version which is fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter boxer engine producing 304 Hp. In Europe, the U.S. and other markets, the STi will be powered by revised version of the current 2.5-liter Turbo boxer unit delivering 296 Hp.

Video: Car Magazine Co-Drives The 2008 Nissan GT-R

Car magazine’s Ben Barry must have felt like a ravenous child in candy store when Nissan’s marketing boss Shingo Suzuki (now that’s funny) unexpectedly suggested that he jump into the GT-R’s passengers seat for a quick spin. See, while Car and a bunch of other major auto magazines were invited by Nissan to photograph the 2008 GT-R in Hokkaido, it was on a strictly “look and drool but don’t even think about driving” basis. Now that sucks. (Links: GT-R Promo Video click here, images & specs click here)

Nissan GT-R Promo Video

Featuring a new 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 “VR38” engine, producing 473 Hp (353kW) at 6400rpm, the all-new GT-R is definitely one of the most anticipated sports cars of the year. Available in Japan from December 6 and the rest of the world in 2008, the Nissan GT-R promises to offer more adrenaline than a Porsche 911 Turbo at half the price. Something tells us that Nissan intends to keep its promise. For official specs and high-res images, click here.

BMW Concept 1-Series Tii Tokyo Show Presentation Video

Isn’t it a darn shame that BMW decided not to equip the Tokyo Show 1-Series Coupe Tii Concept with a powertrain? Car shows are all about pipe dreaming; tell a lie and say that it’s fitted with a prototype twin-turbocharged, 250Hp 4cylinder engine. What’s the good in just saying that it features lightweight materials, optimised aerodynamics and a race-inspired interior if you know that the car is an empty dummy? For details and high-res images of the 1-Series Coupe Tii click here.

Video: Honda At The 2007 Tokyo Show

Honda’s 2007 Tokyo Show offerings included the all-new 2008 Fit / Jazz, the FCX Concept, the weird looking Puyo Concept and of course, the CR-Z prototype, an exclusive video of which we will show you later on. But, for the time being, get a taste of Honda’s stand at the Japanese motor show by checking out the above video.

eBay: Eddie Cheever’s 1999 Indy Car For Sale And Street Legal?

Could it be real; Eddie Cheever’s 1999 Indy Race Car for sale on eBay? Moreover, could it actually have been converted to be street legal? We have no way of verifying the sellers claims and to be honest, we were befuddled to as why he entitled the race car on eBay as a “1999 Ferrari: Italian 360 550 355”. In any case, the allegedly street legal Indy race car is equipped with a Chevrolet V8 engine and it’s going down on eBay for $70,000 (or about €49,000). Follow the jump for the image gallery along with a few videos that the seller posted. -Continued

Video: Forklift Trashes Illegally Parked Maserati GT Coupe!

We’ve seen forklifts move a ton of things (crates, portable toilets - you name it), but we’ve never actually seen a forklift try to move a car up to now. But as you can see in the video there’s a damn good reason why not. To make a long story short, former Miss New Zealand beauty queen, Rachel Huljich had illegally parked her brother’s 1999 Maserati 3200 GT Coupe on Sydney's Bilyard Avenue in a construction zone after 7am. Not knowing what to do with it (…) some workers decided to act on their own and move the Italian beauty with a forklift. The rest is history, and from the looks of it, so was the car.
