2007 BMW 5 Series facelift – Official!

It’s about time we took a break from all that Detroit madness; don’t you agree? Well that is if BMW doesn’t surprise us tomorrow by unveiling its 2007 5 Series Sedan & Touring at the Detroit Show, though I doubt it. For now though, we thank BMW for releasing the initial facts and images of the updated 2007 5 Series on its…public site!

Starting off with its exterior appearance the slightly revamped 5 Series obtains a different air intake on the front bumper, crystal - clear headlamps and a redesigned grille. In the interior the most significant changes include the revised trim, upgraded material quality, revamped i-Drive system and a new auto gearbox knob (like the one on the 2007 X5). Word has it that the facelifted 5 Series which will go on sale in Europe at the end of March will also receive upgraded powerplants and gearboxes, but we’d better wait for the official press release to be sure on that one. We’ll have more on the facelifted Bimmer later on the day.
